Trauma Ketamine Program
Trauma Ketamine Program at Restoration Psychiatry. Combining Ketamine treatment with the most advanced trauma treatments to accelerate healing and sustain therapeutic benefits. Trauma Ketamine Program is located in the Restoration Psychiatry Offices in Los Gatos, California.
Administered and Supported by Our Psychiatrist. Our ketamine is administered by Dr. Saah, who has been administering Ketamine sinces its earliest mental health applications over 15 years ago. We feel it is important to support your ketamine healing journey with the expertise of a mental health, and medical expert- a psychiatrist, to insure your safety as well as the best efficacy of the medicine. Dr. Saah does a complete mental health intake, including current symptoms and medications, to insure your fit for the treatments and your best possible route to healing.
Intramusculare Application. While we can offer intravenous and sublingual ketamine, we feel that Intramuscular ketamine offers the same efficacy as intravenous, without the distressing experience of an active IV. Intramuscular Ketamine, supervised and administered by the doctor, allows for higher doses than is usual with sublingual applications. This can deliver a much deeper journey and longer experience.
You Are Never Alone. The idea of experiencing a psychedelic medication can be scary to some. It is my experience that ketamine can sometimes bring difficult psychiatric material to the forefront. No-one should go through that alone, which can be re-traumatizing. Our trauma ketamine protocol emphasized the close attunement and relationship between the client and therapist, which is a vital part of your healing while taking the medicine. I will sit with you through the whole process, with complete focus on you. The medicine is administered while you recline in a fully adjustable chair and I sit by your side, holding your hand and supporting you, as you want me to.
Ketamine is Paired with Trauma Treatment. It is suggested that ketamine's power to heal is largely due to its ability to create neuroplasticity, and allow the brain to rewire. While the brain becomes ready to change through the ketamine treatment, we must offer a new path to guide this change- a new way of processing, a new way of understanding and being in the world. Trauma therapy can help the brain reorganize, to shed past memories and experiences, and the unwanted moods and beliefs that are associated with them. It is clear why Ketamine PLUS psychotherapy shows the most efficacy for healing.
